ABOUT ALEX HOLLINGS
Alexander Hollings is a US Marine Veteran, an athlete, and award winning writer. His efforts to find a "good story to tell" have taken him to twenty-two different countries and nearly every state within the United States. At various times throughout the past years he has been a college and club level rugby player, most recently representing Southern Vermont in the 2014 Can-Am (Canadian-American) rugby tournament, a mixed martial arts fighter for the Marine Corps' premiere MMA team - Fight Club 29, and a two-time starter for the Championship Marine Corps Football team out of Southern California. Within the past year, Hollings has traveled to Colorado to wrestle alligators, New Hampshire to climb Mount Washington, and completed an overnight 1,000 mile relay from Connecticut to Atlanta, Georgia in an SRT-10 Dodge Viper.
Hollings' writing accolades include first prize in the fiction and non-fiction short story categories as well as second overall for poetry in Southern Vermont College's annual writing competition. He was also the recipient of the coveted Everett Scholarship for writing and academic achievement.
A lifelong writer, Hollings self-published his first book, "The Zombie Hunter's Compendium" in 2011 and is currently releasing his first novel, "A Secondhand Hero", as a serial on his web page.
Hollings received an Associates of Arts from Penn Foster College in Business Management and is currently a senior at Framingham State University studying Corporate and Organizational Communications. He lives with his wife, Jamie, in Massachusetts.
